Jewelry Care
Most of the jewelries by Jewelogy are fashion jewelries that are made of materials that are less valuable e.g. crystal stones, beads, gold, rose gold or silver plated metal. Among them, there are also handmade products that are specially put together. From time to time, the finishing on the plated jewelries may fade due to wear and tear and this is seen more obvious with frequent users.
There are a few tips that you may try to prevent this from happening so quickly than expected and of course to protect the quality and colouring of the jewelries
1) Avoid direct contact with fluids, including: water, swimming pool and sea water, steam spa, chemicials (spray, perfume, lotion). These can potentially cause colour changes and even structural damages
2) Remove Jewelry during tasks and activities e.g. sports, kitchen work, gardening
3) Clean your jewelry regularly with care. Cleaning them regularly can keep it looking good, but you have to be careful. Best method will be using warm water, not hot water because it can cause a reaction and resulting in discolouration. Use a soft and clean polishing cloth (preferable not tissue or paper towels) by damping with warm water to remove body oils, sweats, dusts or residue
4) Store your jewelries to keep it organized and also to prevent it from tarnishing. In general, jewelry tarnishes when it is not worn, especially for silver and gold. Store your jewelries in a non humid environment to prevent oxidation. In addition, your pieces from Jewelogy are packaged in individual bags to prevent scratches and you can organize them in a jewelry box and form you own Pandora Box filled with beautiful treasures
